CHAP Global Capital was born from our experiences as first-generation immigrants and founders of color. Our foundation is built on deep operational expertise across supply chain, commerce infrastructure, industrial technology, and venture investing — now focused on the transformative power of AI.
We believe AI is fundamentally rebuilding four of the world's largest and most complex industries: logistics, food, e-commerce, and healthcare. We back the founders deploying AI to automate freight networks, reinvent food distribution, power the next generation of commerce infrastructure, and transform how care is delivered — including GrubMarket, UniUni, Fantuan Delivery, and more.
As an early-stage fund, we invest more than capital. Jie (CJ) Chen
Founding Managing Partner

CJ is the Founding Managing Partner of CHAP Global Capital. He brings deep conviction in the power of logistics and infrastructure to shape the future of commerce, with a career spanning operational finance, early-stage venture, and cross-border investing. Prior to founding CHAP, CJ was Managing Partner at Celtic House Asia Partners, where he led investments across the U.S., Canada, and Asia in freight automation, B2B marketplaces, and vertical logistics infrastructure. He currently serves on the boards of GrubMarket, Fantuan Delivery, WeBox, Carnex, Shopper Plus, Snaplii, Eano, and Brandpal and so on.

Eric is a Partner at CHAP Global Capital, leading the firm's Eastern Canada activities. He joined Celtic House Asia Partners in 2021 as an investment manager, bringing expertise in marketing, strategic management, and deep tech. Eric co-founded Wisepoint Consulting Ltd, an education and career consulting company in Toronto, and has held senior executive and board positions across real estate, mining, healthcare, and professional training. He holds a Bachelor's from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Finance from Smith School of Business at Queen's University.

Based in Vancouver, she brings a strong investment background and an extensive network across the Canadian tech and startup ecosystem. Aries is an alumna of Columbia University and has been actively involved in sourcing and supporting early-stage companies across the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia.

Qi is the General Partner of CHAP Health Ventures, a founder-first healthcare fund within the CHAP Global Capital platform. Since 2019, he has partnered with over 20 early-stage teams focused on reshaping care access, affordability, and administrative efficiency across North America. His expertise spans healthcare finance, startup operations, clinical practice, and regulatory strategy. Qi invests at the pre-seed and seed stages, providing hands-on time and resources well beyond capital.

Dr. Anh Ho is a Venture Partner at CHAP Global Capital with extensive experience as an operator in the direct-to-consumer health space. He completed his medical education at the University of Virginia and his Internal Medicine residency at Howard University. Dr. Ho previously served as Medical Group President at Lemonaid Health and Founding Medical Director at hims, scaling clinical operations from the ground up. He also founded Cerebral, a telemedicine program specializing in mental health, and currently advises several early-stage health tech startups.

Peter is the Founder and Managing Partner of Hat-Trick Capital, established in late 2021, and serves as Venture Partner at CHAP Global Capital. He brings over a decade of strategy and finance experience from leading global corporations, including roles within Amazon's Corporate Development, AWS, Amazon Entertainment, and Marketplace divisions, as well as positions at Disney and PwC. Throughout his career, Peter has successfully spearheaded multiple new business and product launches. He holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Oregon's College of Business.
Jieyong (Josh) Shen

Josh is the CFO of CHAP Global Capital, responsible for financial oversight, risk management, and financial due diligence across the firm's investment activities. He previously served as CFO at Celtic House Asia Partners, where he led financial due diligence on early-stage investments across North America and Asia. Prior to venture, Josh was a professional accountant at Pan-China, conducting audits across multiple publicly listed companies. He also led the M&A function at Nanfang Zhongjin Environment, overseeing transactions totalling 4 billion Chinese RMB. At CHAP, Josh oversees FDD, portfolio financial analysis, and internal financial controls.
Cindy Wang
Associate Partner

Cindy is an Associate Partner at CHAP Global Capital, bringing hands-on experience in brand strategy, marketing, and early-stage company operations. She previously worked at BrandPal, a CHAP portfolio company focused on brand marketing technology, where she developed deep expertise in the intersection of e-commerce, brand growth, and digital marketing for consumer-facing businesses. Cindy plays a key role in supporting portfolio companies and sourcing new investment opportunities across the firm's focus areas.
